VERSE 2

I could have saved myself a lot of hurt and time.

If I'd a just listened to my mama.

	Every time she cried.

But I was lost in sinners haze, burning up the days.

Just another young man who had lost his way.

Now It finally makes sense what the preacher said.

When he said, "Son you don't want to wake up dead.

And find youself alone in the fires of Hell".

CHORUS
	Everybody

	Last night

I told the devil where to go.

You know Heaven's got my soul.

Ain't gonna listen to his lies no more.

Last night I told the devil where to go.

VERSE 3

Now when you hear that demon knockin' at your door.

You just tell him you don't want his kind around here no more.

'Cause if you wanna love, if you wanna live.

If you wanna be free you can't forget and forgive

You gotta kick him in the teeth and do exactly.

	Do exactly what I did.

CHORUS

	Yeah Last night

I told the devil where to go.

You know Heaven's got my soul.

Ain't gonna listen to his lies no more.

Last night I told the devil

Last night I told the devil

Last night I told the devil

Last night I told the devil

Last night I told the devil

I told the devil where to go.

Close, but I think you'll find the intro
chords and chorus chords are D C G, but
the verse is D C G Bb, if you listen carefully. you can play the run easier using just two strings A and D. It starts with a slide from A2 to A5 then D5 D4 then
A5 to A3,A2 as it steps along, of course you
have to strike the right number of notes at each position. try it with the cd I think you'll hear it too. good start though.

The verse chords are actually D, C, G/B ("G" with a "B" in the bass), and Bb.

Also on the intro riff which is also played in the chorus the last note is an "F", not a "G".

Thanks for coming up with this!
