Song: Let Them Be Little
Artist: Billy Dean
Written By: Richie McDonald/Billy Dean
Tabbed By: Jared Nunnally "nunzbomb at hotmail.com"

**************

Capo 1st fret

**************

Note: The Cadd9 is played in the verses in between the C and the F
I didn't include them in the chords below because they take
up to much room. Same thing for the A7sus4 it's played in
between the Am7 and the F. It's played real quick and is
just a hammer on but it's there. Include them if you want.

Intro: C Cadd9 C F Am7 A7sus4 F G

Verse 1:

C F
I can remember when you fit in the palm of my hand

Am7 F G
Felt so good in it, no bigger than a minute

C F
How it amazes me, you're changing with every blink

Am7 F G
Faster than a flower blooms they grow up all too soon.

Chorus:

   C F Am F G
So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while

          C F Am F
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day

          Am F Am F
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle

       G C
Oh but let them be little.

Verse 2:

C F
I've never felt so much in one little tender touch

Am7 F G
I live for those kisses, prayers and your wishes

C F
Now that you're teaching me things only a child can see

Am7 F G
Tonight while we're on our knees all I ask is please.

Chorus:

   C F Am F G
So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while

          C F Am F
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day

          Am F Am F
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle

       G C
Oh but let them be little.

Bridge:

   Am F Am G
So innocent, a precious soul, you turn around

     F G
It's time to let them go.

Chorus:

   C F Am F G
So let them be little 'cause they're only that way for a while

          C F Am F
Give them hope, give them praise, give them love every day

          Am F Am F
Let them cry, let them giggle, let them sleep in the middle

       G Am
Oh but let them be little.

F G C
Let them be little...

If you are going to play these chords (great job!) and play along with the CD... you will have to capo up two.

OR.. play it in the key of D... (D,G,Bm7,A).. and instead of worrying about all the chord changes within the D chord... just highlight the chord with a high A note (do the same with the Bm7)

If I'm not mistaken, this album will come out on March 29.
On the album the song will be done in the key of C#.
That's also the way it's played on the radio.
There could very well be more versions that Billy Dean has
done, perhaps in the key of D. Lonestar might have a version
of this song as well, since Richie McDonald co-wrote it with Billy.

Thankyou so much for doing this song. I lost my 16 year old cousin last year to muscular distrophy and we played this at his funeral. It means so much. Thankyou.
