Little Moments
--------------
Brad Paisley - As heard on The Grand Ole Opry, June 28 2003
From the new album "Mud On the Tires"
(by PeaPicker at-sign technocosm d.o.t. org)
I finally had a chance to sit down with my recording of
the opry and figure this one out. Enjoy! - John H. 7/18
I figured this out Capo 2. Probably Brad plays no capo in E.
D G
Well I'll never forget the first time that I heard
D G
That pretty mouth say that dirty word
Am7
And I can't even remember now
Bm
what she backed my truck into
Am7
But she covered her mouth and her face got red
D
and she just looked so darned cute
G D G C G C
That I couldn't Even act like I was mad
G D G C G
Yeah I live for little moments like that
D G
That's like just last year on my birthday
D G
She lost all track of time and burnt the cake
Am7 Bm
And every smoke detector in the house was goin' off
Am7 D
And she was just about to cry until I took her in my arms
G D G C G C
And I tried not to let her see me laugh
G D G C G Am7 Bm7
Yeah I live for little moments like that
C G
I know she's not perfect, but she tries so hard for me
C G
And I thank God that she isn't cause how boring would that be
C G
It's the little imperfections, it's the sudden change in plans
C Am7
When she misreads the directions and we're lost but holding hands
G D G C G Am7 Bm7
Yeah I live for little moments like that
C G
When she's laying on my shoulder on the sofa in the dark
C G
And about the time she falls asleep, so does my right arm
C G
And I want so bad to move it, cause it's tinglin' and it's numb
C Am7
But she looks so much like an angel that I don't wanna wake her up
G D
Yeah I live for little moments
G Am7
When she steals my heart again and doesn't even know it
G D G
Yeah I live for little moments like that
Then Brad said:
Well thank you! That's how it is too, you're in a new relationship
and she just looks so peaceful there there on your arm and ten years
later after you've been married for a while you knock her on the floor
and you go get something out of the fridge. Isn't that right?
...I'm just Kidding!
In E, no capo, translate the chords like this:
D -> E (sometimes barre 5)
G -> A (sometimes barre 5)
C -> D
Am7 -> Bm7
Bm7 -> C#m7

that pretty good. but try to figure out the fingure picking. that would be awesome if you could. Bm7? i don't know what that chord is you should type it on the bottom of the tab so that no one would need to go to the chord generator, because you can't find Bm7. only different ways to play the regular Bm. well thanks that a cool and funny song. i'tll be cool to play at school for a girl!!!!!! -silasa6 | 7/20/2003 | That chord is actually a D chord. Play a normal D chord and then play that chord. They will sound almost exactly alike if not so. A normal D sounds a little brighter but they are the same chord. Its a barre chord D from the C position......I believe.
-gittarmane | 7/23/2003 | No, it isn't a D, D is D-F#-A. The notes in this chord (properly x24232) are B-D-F#-A, B as the root, the D being a third dropped a half step (because in a regular B7 it is D#), which makes it minor, the F# being the 5, and the A being the 7. Hence, Bm7.
Have a nice chording day!
-PeaPicker | 7/24/2003 | x21202 is a regular B7... B-D#-F#-A - if you want that to be a B minor 7, you need: B-D-F#-A or x20202 as your alternate. Or x20232. -PeaPicker | 7/25/2003 | Does anyone know the finger picking for this song? -Ryguy34088 | 12/1/2003 | PeaPicker..don't stop tabbin bud.. -WayneXG95 | 2/18/2004 | nice -Manske2818 | 3/15/2004 | Very Good Tab, best I;ve seen for this song! -sharpej | 6/14/2005 | I think that this song is great ,but thats just my opinoin.Thumbs up -kip24a | 11/26/2005 |
