Mud On The Tires - Brad Paisley
Album: Mud On The Tires
Writers: Brad Paisley/Chris DuBois

Intro: D A/C# D/B A G A Asus A

D A/C# D/B A
I've got some big news, the bank finally came through
G D A
And I'm holdin' the keys to a brand new Chevrolet
D A/C# D/B A
Have you been outside, it sure is a nice night
G D A
How bout a little test drive, down by the lake

G
There's a place I know about
A
Where the dirt road runs out
D A/C# D/B
We can try out the four-wheel drive
D A
Come on now what do you say, girl I can hardly wait
G A D
To get a little mud on the tires

Chorus:
              A
Cause it's a good night
G A
To be out there soakin' up the moonlight
G G/F# G/E D A
Stake out a little piece of shoreline
D A/C# D/B
I've got the perfect place in mind
D
It's in the middle of nowhere
A
Only one way to get there
G A D
You gotta get a little mud on the tires

(repeat intro)

D A/C# D/B A
Moonlight on a duck blind, catfish on a trot line
G D A
Sun sets about nine this time of year
D A/C# D/B A
We can throw a blanket down, crickets singing in the background
G D A
And more stars than you can count on a night this clear

G
I'll tell you what we need to do
A
Is grab a sleepin' bag or two
D A/C# D/B
Build us a little campfire
D A
And then with a little luck, we might just get stuck
G A D
Let's get a little mud on the tires

CHORUS

D A
And then with a little luck, we might just get stuck
G A G
Let's get a little mud on the tires

Instrumental: A G A G-G/F#-G/E-D A
               D A/C# D/B (x2) G A G G-G/F#-G/E-A D

Note-You don't have to play the bass notes on the D's and
G's if you are a beginner, it will still sound ok.

Of course he did!
-Goodspeed742 | 7/22/2003
After tabbing the intro, I think you'd play
this with a capo on 2nd in C...chords are
all close enough though.. :)
-axehappy | 8/6/2003
Yes true the intro must be played with the capo, I added a
capo 2 chord chart to the site so we can play it with the
fantastic intro Axe posted :)

-jackie97 | 7/13/2005
A pretty good tab, but you are missing a bunch of Bm chords.
for instance where you have the D/B listed in the verse should be a Bm

-doctorben | 7/26/2005
this is a pretty good tab. thx. laterz
-muttonashkii | 7/26/2005
Smurf guy obviously isn't too familiar with this song. and D/B is enharmonic with Bm7, both are spelled with: b d f# a
