This is the main "verse" and "chorus." This is the correct version (as far as
I can tell). I left out some nuances, like pinch harmonics, etc. If you can
play this, then you will be able to put your own feel to it. This is my first
tab on here so enjoy and please comment with corrections, etc.

You shouldn't play the intro like that,
because it doesn't let the notes ring.
-axehappy | 11/24/2004
I don't think so man. The notes don't ring against each other in this song. It is one note at a time. It bounces off of the open strings, but never do they ring against each other in this main part. If it sounds wrong, then it is your technique. When I get the platinum membership I will include a sound byte. You can check it out then.
-logansams | 11/24/2004
OK. Sound byte is up. I did this in one take, so there are a few bad spots. Ax, after reviewing your sound byte, both of these versions are very close. I just think he is doing more pulloffs at the beginning while you think he's letting some of the notes ring against each other. I didn't want to come across as saying that your version sucked. You are a very good transcriber and I know everyone here really appreciates you.

Now that the soundbyte is up, it does
actually sound ok, all the notes are there,
just a different way of playing it.
I think its a more difficult way of playing
it, but it definately works.
Nice soundbyte by the way :-D

whoaa...very,very,VERY nice soundbyte...both the versions sound right, even though i can't play them both completley up to speed...nice tho..

Thank you. I really like the idea of being able to put up a clip of what you have tabbed out. I am new here, so I appreciate the comment.
-logansams | 11/27/2004
Rated a 9, because I think yours is slightly
more complicated than what Brad is playing!
-axehappy | 11/29/2004
Fair enough.

Great tab and soundbyte Logan!

I have trouble getting the speed playing it this way but the notes are right.

Great Tab. I'm Always Looking For Your Tabs, Keep them coming
-zunie | 5/4/2005
It's a good tab. If you watch Brad at Austin City Limits you will see this is not how the intro is played. Would be in the Gminor pentatonic position at the 3rd fret... Otherwise nice job!
-timsig | 10/6/2008
sweet tab man great job. this ones definitely giving me a little challenge
-bmullins | 2/1/2009
This can be summed up easily by watching this Youtube clip.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7y-Ipi1dnng
Axhappys tab is much more authentic to the way Brad plays it. If you will note brad never goes to the 1st fret on the opening lick. He never goes past the 3rd fret till the first series of double pull ofss at the stop. Axe is correct about trying to actually play to many notes vs letting the open pull offs ring.

Sorry mate - but you have no right to title your Tab as "(Correct Tab)" when it ISN'T 100% correct!
