Half-Step Down

     F#m D E
Oh lights of my hometown
            F#m D E
They come alive when the sun goes down
           F#m D E
You know lights of my hometown
            F#m D E
They come alive when the sun goes down

                          F#m D
Yeah I'm talking bout the 50 yard line on a Friday night
            E A
Mainstreet drag lined up with red tail lights
         F#m D
Yeah the dashboard glow from the radio
         E A
Get the console back pull your girl real close
         F#m D
Got the summer stars out in the backwoods
          E A
Got the windows down yeah ya feel so good
             F#m D
To lock your high beams in on a mud hole
          E A
If your where I'm from then ya damn sure know

     F#m D E
Oh lights of my hometown
            F#m D E
They come alive when the sun goes down
           F#m D E
You know lights of my hometown
            F#m D E
They come alive when the sun goes down

                      F#m D
Oh yeah we hold our lighters up if its a good song
   E A
Little Lynyrd Skynyrd getcha singin' along
             F#m D
Now buy some gasoline on a pile of wood
    E A
A little too much will make it burn real good
             F#m D
We got the moonshine, I'm talkin' both kinds
  E A
Getcha seein' double lookin' at them tanlines
           F#m D
Yeah we're throwin' down til the cops come
         E A
See the blue lights flash boys its time to run

Its your best friend know that he ain't long gone
F#m D

  E A
Just to let him know we're still thinkin about him

     F#m D E

Oh yeah you know the lights of my hometown
                   F#m D E
Oh yeah they come alive when the sun goes down
                      F#m D E
Oh yeah you know the lights of my hometown
                   F#m D E

I think the first A's in the verse and chorus is an F# so it would be like:
verse's F#, D, E, A
chorus' F#, D, E

you can capo 2 (if you're half step down) 3 in standard, and play
Em, C, D, G
Em, C, D

Try it out...BD is a boss!

When you say F# do you mean F#m? Because I don't feel like the F# fits well.
