Can you give me an idea how to stretch to play A/G#. Thanks. -Jim72344 | 8/23/2004 |
You could try it like a bar chord (use index finger to hold down the notes on the 2nd fret) then use 3rd or 4th finger to hold down the note on the 4th. -Shantel | 8/24/2004 |
I have often used a regular E Form bar chord 577655 ... then just slide the tip of index finger one note lower to the G # bass note... You will hear a good many "walks" in chords... a real common one is a walk from G to an F# bass note then on to an EM ... as in "Dont Close Your Eyes" etc..
BUT... looking at these chords, I think you will have to bar the 2nd fret with index and then use 3 or 4 finger to catch the G#... a lot of people use the thumb to catch the f# note when playing it on top of a D chord and I think you could try that here... or not...
GUYS... YOU SOULD START IMBEDDING THE CHORD SYMBOL IN THE LINE OF LYRIC ..(well you (A) work and... Etc.) WORKS ALOT BETTER WHEN YOU TRY TO READ IT AND PRINT IT OUT... put chord in BOLD type... -georgeb1954 | 12/1/2004 |
It's doesn't sound right to me -JuanJuarez64 | 7/28/2005 |
Ok... this tab is more or less accurate but it is my belief that this song should be capoed on the second fret.
So your A is played in the G form. It lets the chord ring out better and it makes the changes much easier. I would imagine that's how the band actually plays it. -spellbound57196 | 9/25/2005 |
