-honkytonkman07 | 1/12/2006 | Don Rich may have tuned 1/2 step flat. A lot of players do with Stevie Ray probably being the most popular. I think Pete Anderson does sometimes too. On this song on the Greatest Hits Vol. 1 disc it is not tuned 1/2 step flat. I just drop the low E string down a whole step to D. This lets you play the lead as it is on the record. Try it and see what you think.
