Act Naturally
Buck Owens
From the album: The Very Best of Buck Owens Volume 1

This version is in a different key than the other
tab on this website. I also changed a few words
to match the recording.I use drop D tuning and play
it in the Key of G. Also, the fills and solo used
on this song are a clinic in telecaster playing.
The pulloffs and hammer-ons are done out of the
different chord shapes. I'll try to put them up
later but you should just experinment and see if
you can figure then out. What a talent Don Rich was!
If this is way off just let me know and I'll be
glad to tab it again.

G C
THEY'RE GONNA PUT ME IN THE MOVIES
G D
THEY'RE GONNA MAKE A BIG STAR OUT OF ME
      G C
WE'LL MAKE A FILM ABOUT A MAN THAT'S SAD AND LONELY
    D G
AND ALL I GOTTA DO IS ACT NATURALLY

(CHORUS)
        D G

    D G

G D
THEN I'LL KNOW THAT YOU WILL PLAINLY SEE
    G C
THE BIGGEST FOOL THAT'S EVER HIT THE BIG TIME
    C7 F
AND ALL I GOTTA DO IS ACT NATURALLY

(SOLO)

      G C

Don Rich may have tuned 1/2 step flat. A lot of players do with Stevie Ray probably being the most popular. I think Pete Anderson does sometimes too. On this song on the Greatest Hits Vol. 1 disc it is not tuned 1/2 step flat. I just drop the low E string down a whole step to D. This lets you play the lead as it is on the record. Try it and see what you think.
