Capo 2nd Fret

B7 - E

E
I keep having these disturbing dreams
A
My final days the end of me
B7
For some odd reason, I get one last wish,
E B7
And every time, I wish for this

N.C. E
Take me fast or take me slow.
 	  	     A
I don't really care how I go.
 	  	    B7
In the daylight or in the dark,
 	  	  	    E
Just don't let me die of a broken heart.

E
The kind of pain that you just can't take
A
Will send a strong man to his grave
B7
There's not a pill that can give you a rest
E B7
Or fill that hole deep in your chest.

 	  	     E
So, take me fast or take me slow.
 	  	     A
I don't really care how I go.
                   B7
In the daylight or in the dark,
 	  	  	    E
Just don't let me die of a broken heart.

E
I've been crushed by that hurt before.
A
There's no way I could take any more.
B7 E
If I fell in love, and I found out it would happen again,
 	 B7
I'd say take me now.

N.C. E
And take me fast or take me slow.
 	  	     A
I don't really care how I go.
 	  	    B7
In the daylight or in the dark,
 	  	  	    E
Just don't let me die of a broken heart.

B7 E
Take me fast or take me slow.
 	  	     A
I don't really care how I go.
 	  	    B7
In the daylight or in the dark,
 	  	  	    E
Just don't let me die of a broken heart.

 	  	  B7
No, don't let me die
N.C. E
Of a broken heart.

This was a very good attempt but it is way off unfortunately.
Im almost certain your capo is incorrect.
I have played with my capo while listening to the song and B7 is way off. Good try though!

Use the CAPO on 1st Fret

-Alakai | 7/1/2004
Well, I'll admit that I'm not sure about a lot of things -
cars, computers, women... But, I am pretty sure that
I tabbed this song right. Try tuning your guitar -
I double checked mine after you mentioned something -
still lines right up with Carolyn. Thanks!

What does everybody else think?
-johnlnelms | 7/1/2004
Hey im not saying that it was wrong. I was merely making a
suggestion. I thought it sounded more closer on the first fret. Im
not implying that you didnt know your songs. You did great by me.

-Alakai | 7/11/2004
Capo 2 is correct, it's in the key of F#.

The B7 probably sounds a little better as a
regular B but it still works.

Job well done :)
-Shantel | 7/16/2004
Hey Guys!! Who cares what fret you use? - Normally you use the cord that suits your voice...not everyone is same, what's too high for one person may be just right for another.
-Wheeleratv | 7/17/2004
Wooops!! - Excuse spelling Should be "chord"
-Wheeleratv | 7/17/2004
True... True... As long as it sounds good
with your voice, that's the main thing!
-johnlnelms | 7/17/2004
yeah i think this tab is pretty correct and the capo is in the right place for the song but put it where ever to suit your voice

I am a beginner mandolin player, and would like to play this song but I'm not ready for these chords! So I tried to find some easier ones, can you experienced players tell me if D-G-A would work with capo on 3rd? I'd also like to tab out the instrumental solo (but on mandolin). This is my first post, go easy on me :)

hey i'm looking for chords on her song called head over high heals if neone has them plz let me know..thanks
-payner1 | 10/24/2004
I recently went to a jam with CDJ and i noticed that when she plays it she keeps it very simple G-C-D, and thats about it. For most beginer players that might be a good rout to take as well. Just a thought.
-jkg | 10/26/2004
I Think you did a great job
on this tab. I agree with Shantel
about it sounding better as a B
instead of a B7
-Cu11y | 12/12/2004
hey.... as a country music singer and a massive fan of CDJ, naturally i sing this song. i sing it every where i go... i agree with the person who made the comment that it is 'whatever suits ur voice' but let me assure u the b7 is right. i have won with this song in talent quests, and i havent heard a complaint yet.
