Title: Simple Life
Singer: Carolyn Dawn Johnson
Writer: Carolyn Dawn Johnson

I dont feel like this is pefect by any stretch of the imagination... but i
think its closer than what's already up. If anyone has corrections or the
intro or instrumental please post them!

Capo 2nd fret

(Verse 1)
C
I have wondered this world far and wide
C
I've been all around to the other side
                                F
But there's nothin' like comin' home
                   C
Nothin like comin' home

(Verse 2)
        C
I wanna sit on my front porch and drink my lemonade
       C
Cut my grass after church every Sunday
                    F
And go out Saturday night
                C
Live the simple life

(pre-chorus)
Dm Bb F
Wake up in the morning to these fields of gold
    Dm Bb G
And take a long walk down a gravel road

(Chorus)
C
Spend my days in the sweet sunshine
C
Rock in my swing and watch my garden grow
Bb
Know that I'll always have someone to hold
   Dm Bb F C
Oh I -I -I wanna live the simple life.

(same as verses 1 and 2)
I wanna take a blanket down to the creek
And let the water sing me to sleep
Let go of time
Live the simple life

(same as pre-chorus)
Lately I've seen too many city lights
I wanna go somewhere where I can see the stars at night

The second line of the chorus in not a plain C Chord. Not sure what it should be though

Pretty close! The song is in the key of D,
so I choose to play it there with no capo.
But if you're playing in C with a capo,
the "pre-chorus" should be Bm-A/C#-D-G
Bm-A/C#-D-A. Also,"rock in my swing" is Bm.
"Know that I'll always..." is A, and "Oh I, I
I..." is G.

Sorry, the chords I actually wrote up above are for the actual key of D. If your playing in C, just transpose the chords down 1 whole step. Bye!
