Oh I値l twine 僧id the ringlets of my raven black hair
The lilies so pale and the roses so fair
The myrtle so bright with an emerald hue
And the pale aronatus with eyes of bright blue
I値l sing and I値l dance, my laugh shall be gay
I値l cease this wild weeping, drive sorrow away
Though my heart now is breaking, he never shall know
That his name made me tremble and my pale cheeks to glow
I値l think of him never , I値l be wildly gay
I値l charm every heart and the crowd I will sway
I値l live yet to see him regret the dark hour
When he won then neglected the frail wildwood flower
He taught me to love him , he called me his flower
That blossomed for him all the brighter each hour
But I woke from my dreaming , my idol was clay
My visions of love have all faded away

thanks for the tabs, id like to have the chords for this song, just starting out. thanks. george from bristol. aaa462001@charter.net -aaa462001 | 3/14/2004 | In the second verse, I prefer the first line to say my skies won't be grey. And in the third verse, first line: I prefer to say I'll wildly go a-stray. It's just to avoid the word that you have here, because, nowadays, if you use that word, something else comes to mind unlike what it used to mean. In my area, people would never think of the word happy as another word for, you know, the word that's here. Those are just the lyrics I like to use instead and why. But good tab, though. Just a suggestion, if you're not sure if the tab looks good, just put the chord that you play over tab whenever there's a chord transition. It doesn't matter to me, because, I've played for a long time, but it would make it a bit easier for the beginners. -macg1 | 9/30/2005 | I like the lyrics fine the way they are...It's an old song...who cares about that "word" oh well...w/e thats just my opinion... -IHeartCountry | 2/4/2006 |
