Well, the whole guitar is tuned a half step down, so it's a half step lower than standard tuning. If you're not to familiar with tuning..I'd recommend you to play it in standard tuning.

best way to tune a half step is w/ a capo on the 1st fret then tune it normal right? or is that a full step down?

That's correct..would tune it a half step down. That's probably the easiest way to do it
