i just saw chris play at the berkely cafe in raleigh and there is no capo on this song. but other than that good job -txcntrykd | 10/20/2008 | whether you play with a capo is your choice...it's all the same in the end. -petstupid | 10/21/2008 | I just saw Chris this Saturday in Cleveland and you're right, when playing this song live, he didn't capo it, however; if you want to play along with the album version, you will need to capo 1 as noted here. Good job on the chords...it's a great song. -tallmiguy88 | 12/16/2008 | It is typical for an artist to change which fret they play at live shows for different reasons. Regardless, the key does not change. Once you understand the basics of a capo (posted by another user under lessons) you will understand that whether a tab is posted as Capo 1, 2, 3, 4, you can modulate the chords to whatever fret you want to play the song. Typically, beginners like playing songs capo'd really high because they can then play the "easy" chords they learned when they first picked up a guitar. More advanced players, and those not afraid of barr chords, enjoy playing songs in their original key, open. Just some food for thought. The confusion over how and why a capo is used has been long standing on this site. -petstupid | 12/19/2008 |
