Title: (Gonna) Shine Up My Boots
Artist: Corb Lund Band
Tabbed By: dustinl at countrytab.com

Fairly simple, 2 chords, just alternate between C and G.
You can play C like this with pinkie on the E string for the alternating bass line.

e|---0-
B|---1-
G|---0-
D|---2-
A|---3-
E|---3-

(intro) C

          C
I'm gonna shine up my boots
          G
I'm gonna go into town

I'm gonna scrape up twenty dollars
 	  	        C
I'm gonna throw it around

          C
I'm gonna buy me a dance
 	      G
First lovely lady that I see

And when our dance is through
 	  	  	  C
I'll say "Will you marry me?"

I'm gonna shine up my boots
I'm gonna go into town
I'm gonna scrape up twenty dollars
I'm gonna throw it around

I'm gonna find me a game
Of hold 'em if I can
And fold 'em all night long
Till I got me a hand

I'm gonna buy us a ranch
With a palomino herd
And I won't mean no harm, babe
And I won't say a word

When Misery comes to call
I'll give to him my life
I'll set with him awhile
And share my horse, my home, my wife

Awesome. It's so hard to find tab for this band anywhere. I'm from Alberta and these guys just prove that country music is not all pre-made stars and pop singers. Thanks for the great tab job

I'm from Alberta too, I grew up in the same small town as Corb. I didn't know him too well, I know his dad better. Anyways, definitly not an "out of the box" musician. Check out his previous band, The Smalls, great rock band.

I think any one from alberta loves him, and his band. I got to see him twice, once in olds and once in rocky. Ive also seen Brooks and Dunn in the sadle dome in calgary, not to knock them but seeing Corb in a bar that can hold max 200 people ,in conparison to the Brooks and Dunn show, he blew brooks and dunn out of the water. I got to met him after the show when most of the people left the bar he come out and drank with us and sighned autographs. It was the best concert I have ever seen in my life.

well...I'm a died-in-the-wool Easterner living in Montreal, but I saw Corb twice this year...he opened with an acoustic set for Steve Earle, and then I saw him with Albertans a few months later. Suffice to say, I would now see him anytime, anywhere. Awesome! and thanks for the chords.
