This song is finger picked and he has a capo UPSIDE DOWN on the
2nd fret but NOT on the low E string. This makes it drop D tuned
in a higher key. He is doing hammer ons on the 5th string, 3rd fret,
then 5th string, 2nd fret and that low bass note you hear is him 
on the 6th string, 1st fret.
