Verse 1
G D A
Ever since you went away
G D A
The sun hasn't been out to shine
G D A
Clouds have been droppin' their blues on me
G D A
Rainy day blues are mine

CHORUS
            E G D
And I don't care how far you roam
        A G D
Just as long as you come home
         A E (E F F#) G D
And with words like iron ...... forged by the fire
        A G D
and the howl of a lonely man.......let me tell you..

        A G D A
That it's rained every day since you went away
G D A
Clouds are cryin' .. and I'm surviving
               G D A
Thinkin' 'bout you down in ol' Mexico
               G D A
Thinkin' 'bout you down in ol' Mexico

Lead Solo (same as verse)

G D A
I know that the rain doesn't last forever
G D A
Seasons they keep movin' on
G D A
And absence doesn't make every heart grow fonder
G D A
And the sun shines so bright in the Mexican Sky

CHORUS

Repeat verse 2

you should really think twice about your use of "Correctly" when there already exists a usable and "Correct" tab of the song you attempted

I'll consider that next time.

can't we all just get along...
-btexan03 | 4/26/2004
how do you the (E F F#) part... is there
some special way you do it?
-joelray35 | 9/9/2004
Basically...you walk up from E to G.
In holding the Open E chord you will strike the low E string open, then hit the first fret (F) with first finger, then 2nd fret (F#) with 2nd finger then 3rd fret (G) with 3rd finger...and there you are ready to play the G chord. You are hitting only the E string and playing each note only once.....

Damn good. Ive been playing it G-Bm-A
the whole way through with the same little licks after the A, but this really works well. I dont think its exactly how they play it, but its damn good.

Try this
it's 0430 in the morning
E------------------0-3-3-2-2-2-----
B-2-3-5-5-2-3-2--02--3-3-3-3-3-----
G-2------------02--------2-2-2-----
D-0--------------------------------
A--------------------2-2-----------
E--------------------3-3-----------

tabbed correctly is always a strong word

Alright so i gotta say something real quick. the chords are not completely correct. the Verses, its G, Bm, A. It happens quite often that D and Bm can sound very similar but after watching cross canadian ragweed play it and sitting down for a min its really a Bm. fust fyi
