Its not a live recording, its just not as high quality as the equiptment they use now. I have the cd, the song ic called "People in your Life"
the last track on the Carney cd says Proud Souls -- People in Your Life

The lyrics are actually "somewhere in the fields of Heather" not "somewhere in the fields of heaven". Jason Boland wrote the song and this part of the song was talking about his ex girlfriend.

i dont doubt thats what the song was originally intended to say but I'm pretty sure I've heard boland sing it both ways...some recordings its heather and some recordings you'd swear he says heaven
