Wanna Rock & Roll
by Cross Canadian Ragweed

Written by: Ray Wylie Hubbard...Hubbard :)

~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^~^
E
Last night I went down to the railroad track to watch that train roll by
E
99 cars screamin' in the dark, I heard that lonesome whistle cry.
         E
With her name on my arm and the rain comin' down, I kissed her like it was the first time.
  E
I took her down to the railroad tracks and her red, red lips touched mine, she said

Chorus:
                     E D E
I wanna roll and roll
                    E D E
I wanna hoochie coo
                 E D E
Shake that thing
                 E D E
Baby, love me do.

E
Now a woman got a walk to make a man cry, throw back his head and howl.
E
Ruby red lips and liquid hips, more than the law would allow.
          E
Well if I told her once, I told her twice, I told her a thousand times.
        E
I got a red hot mind and a cold black heart, I am the jealous kind.
         E
Well the woman just laughs and says "sweet daddy, you know you're my only one.
          E
You're my smooth lover boy, my heartache and joy, come on, let's have some fun.

Chorus:
                     E D E
I wanna roll and roll
                    E D E
I wanna hoochie coo
                 E D E
Shake that thing
                 E D E
Baby, love me do.

E
It was early last night I went downtown to a place called "Johnny's Last Stand"
            E
Through the blues and smoke I saw her on the dance floor, she's with another man.
         E
Well the dead man's name was Louie Dupree, I pushed a little button on my knife
  E
I walked up and I said "Well hello, boys and girls, have you enjoyed your life?

Chorus 2:
                          E D E
It's time to rock and roll,
                    E D E
Time to hoochie coo,
                         E D E
Time to shake that thing,
                 E D E
Baby love me do." -

Thanks Mammy!

I hope I can work out some of the lead flourishes in the verse.

It's so hard to make one acoustic sound like a band.
