*[These are simply chord illustrations/tabs based upon MY personal knowledge. In no way, shape nor form are ANY of my chords/tabs meant as any sort of insult to someone else's version/interpretation, nor am I saying anyone else is "wrong". Absolutely NO offense is intended :) ]*

**Also, just a reminder concerning my DAC chords/tabs** - Keep in mind, DAC change(d) his general tuning a lot depending upon the condition of his voice on any given day/night/particular album session(s)/etc. David's voice was sensitive to air-conditioning and/or the over-all condition of the air of a room/place in general, so there were times in which he would have to adjust accordingly (again, studio AND/OR live). Also, take note that David capo's @ the 3rd fret EXTREMELY often and has been doing so for decades. Most of my Coe chord transcr i ptions (and tabs for solo's, etc.) are accurate to the way that David/the DAC BAND played/performed them for many, many years (I know from personal experience & that's all I will say regarding that) - Again, depending on your voice, you may have to experiment with capo position(s) until you find the tuning/positioning that suits YOUR voice best. My DAC chords should easily work in any form of standardized tuning (ie...standard E tuning, half-step down, whole-step down + use of capo as desired/necessary). If anyone has any questions or any DAC requests, feel free to email me: m-i-k-d-a-v-r-u-t-AT-g-m-a-i-l-DOT-c-o-m Leave out all hyphens & use proper symbols, of course):

Jimmy Buffett (Doesn't Live In Key West Anymore)
----------------------------------------------------------
(again, DAC capo'd @ the 3rd on this tune in the studio):

(G)
There's sailboats & conch shells
(C) (G)
Palm trees ga - lore
(G)
But Jimmy Buffett doesn't live
(D) (G)
In Key West any-more
(G) (C)
Sister-Spare-change has a bumper-sticker on her door
(D) (G)
Says Jimmy Buffett doesn't live in Key West any-more
(G)
Hey smugglers hate those Buffett songs
(C)
Snitching on the sly
(D)
Bringing heat where it's already
(G)
Too damn hot to die
(G)
Son-of-a, son-of-a, son-of-a b***h
(C)
What's all that bulls**t for?
(D) (G)
Jimmy Buffett? He don't live in Key West any-more

(same basic chord sequence(s) for next 2 verses)

["Sailing to the Caribbean"...

&

"Now Jimmy's moved to Malibu"....]
(C) (D) (G)
So don't tell me I sound like Jimmy Buffett
(C) (D) (G)
Just because I've got that island beat
(C) (D) (G)
Jimmy might have grown up on the ocean
(A) (D)
Me? I kinda grown up on the street
(C) (D) (G) (C)
Music's just a way of life & me I'm livin' free
(G) (D) (G)
So don't lay all that Key West Jimmy Buffett s**t on me
(G)
Now Divers Do It Deeper
(C)
Must've really made them mad
(D)
Some of them reviewers said
(G)
It really sounded bad
(G)
Well they liked "Margaritaville"
(C)
And me? I liked it too
(D)
Someday Jimmy, why don't we
(G)
Just both get drunk & screw
(C) (D)
All of them creepy mother-f**kers
(G) (C)
That think music is a w***e
(G)
Tell 'em that you just don't live
(D) (G)
In Key West any-more

...And that's pretty much it unless someone requests a tab for the "alright boys, sound like Jimmy Buffett now" outro section....

Sorry that the chord notations did not paste correctly over the proper word(s) in which the chord change(s) take place. I may create a simple site just for DAC chords AND include proper solo tablature, etc. In the meantime, if anyone needs chords or a tab, shoot me an email.
