This song sounds way better by David Allan Coe because of the intro and everything he does about it.

If you watch George Jones play this on youtube he uses a capo on 2 then half way through he moves it up to 3. Looked to me like he played G,D and either A or A7.The one he plays on the youtube sounds to me as if its in a different key than the original.
