I don't know about the lyrics but the chords are right on. Good job! -Shantel | 12/10/2002 |
Nice on the chords, but why capo on 9th?? Why not just play it in E? Just wondering -fatalbert55 | 1/5/2003 |

patty griffin also wrote "let him fly" which the dixie chicks also cover on another album...you should also check out patty's album called "1,000 kisses". the dixie chicks rave about her. -onemoregirl24 | 7/28/2003 |
As you can see from the video, this song is about a man growing up negelected and unloved so he shows this same treatment to his kid. Emily is the mother, then Marty is his wife and Natalie is his daughter. He wishes he could change how he is and how hes treated everyone now that he is dying. (this is what i gather and im pretty sure im right) that is all -backinthesaddle | 10/13/2003 |
Sorry, Guys just really wanna set the record straight. I've got the book right in front of me and the progression is Verse: E B C#m7 A E B C#m7 A E B Chorus: A B C#m7 B E A B C#m7 B E B Bridge (After 3rd Verse) E C#m7 A(9)C#m7 A(9) E C#m7 A(9)C#m7 A(9) 2nd Ending After Bridge: Cm#7 A(9)C#m7 A(9)C#m7 A(9) Ad lib and Fade
Capo on 9 just sounded way to high pitched and whinney for me so this is the correct tab -missunderstd | 11/16/2003 |
this song is the only song I've ever heard that can make me cry like a baby... about how to play it, I play it capo 4th and it sounds great. Truth is, you can play it anywhere, any way as long as it makes ya feel good. Don't try to do it exactly the way it was done by someone already... there's no fun in that. -fronzai | 12/12/2003 |
i love it better than the original way in the actual music book in E. sounds better this way. -willms17 | 4/27/2005 |
