I'm pretty sure the chords in the chorus are right. It's in a different key than the version that I know. I do the song in B. That's how Johnny Cash plays it. at the end of each verse and chorus, when he sings the words Tennessee Stud, I'm pretty sure it's an A chord on the word Tennessee, than D on the word Stud.
D Back about 18 and 25 C I left Tennessee very much alive D I never woulve made it thru the Arkansas mud A D If I hadnt been ridin on the Tennessee Stud
CHORUS: D C D The Tennessee Stud was long and lean F G A The color of the sun and his eyes were green D C D He had the nerve and he had the blood A There never was a horse like the Tennessee D Stud.
I can't remember if it would be the F before the G, or the G before the F. I'll have to find the song in my collection to see, it. Overall, it is a good tab. -macg1 | 11/13/2005 | Also, the lyrics have all the verses too. Good tab, good lyrics. Two of the verses Johnny Cash doesn't use, but I use all of the ones you have here, in the same order, and the choruses all come in the exact same places that I sing them. -macg1 | 11/13/2005 |
