Drew Kennedy - Take Me Home
C# - F# - C# - F#
C# F#
Getting tired of these concrete street
C# F#
Red lights and traffic jams
D#m B
I can't breathe trapped in this city
D#m C#
The office floor don't make ??
Been locked up doing 9 to 5
Worked my fingers to the bone
Everyone's trying to make their name
But at the end of the day it means I'll still be the same
Chorus
F#
I don't care about yesterday
D#m
?? the interstate highway
B
Looking back it's never been clearer
C# C#/B C#/Bb C#/G#
Through the dust in the review mirror
F#
I'd trade those city lights
D#m
For the windows rolled down on the dirt road drive in
B C# C#/B C#/Bb C#/G#
No place on earth that I'd rather go
F# C#
So take me home
Monday morning they'll be calling me
Thursday night they'll try the house
When they look in through my window pane
The only thing they'll see, is all my stuff's moved out
Chorus
Instrumental
F# - D#m - B - C#

I think the verse in the chorus is "left my blues out on the interstate highway"..... also... the line in the first set is either... "the office floor dont make the man" or "dont make the band". I think the prior is it but not sure. hope this helps -kevinwest | 7/5/2009 |
