Intro chords:
G Cadd9 Am C G

Cadd9
There ain't too much to this small-town scene
Am
Time at every traffic light's a driver's dream
   F C G
Outsiders say we're too far from everything
Cadd9
The interstate it has a distant view
Am
Flyin so fast they just drive right through
          F C G
Yeah it's miles from a first run movie but it's close to you
Em D/F#
So give 'em all time
                C
They'll see the sign
             C
And stop and listen for the little bell a-ringin
         C
From the catfish jumpin on the end of that line

Chorus:
G
You and me could get a good crop growin
Cadd9
Find an acre and a half worth holdin
Am C
Hey Daisy, I thought maybe
G
We could spend the afternoon out mellowin'
G
Wet our feet in the Concho River
Cadd9
I'll make you sweat until I make you shiver
Am C
Hey Daisy, I thought maybe
G
I could talk you into lovin me

Lookin back to when you caught my eye
All the way from second grade to my surprise
You swore someday you'd leave this small town life
But dreams change and baby roots grow strong
And when we get the chance to move along
We find that urge for leavin is long gone
So give us all time
We'll see the light
It's definition for the white wings a-whistlin
Till they light in Mesquite

Chorus

G
Hey Daisy maybe we could
G
Wet our feet in the Concho River
Cadd9
I'll make you sweat until I make you shiver
Am C
Hey Daisy, I thought maybe
G
I could love you into lovin me
Am C G
Hey Daisy, I thought maybe, yeah

Yep. The chords sure go with the song. You hit the proverbial nail on the head. Great job--par for the course, right? Thanks for the tab.

Great tab I LIKEIT I think it says
stop and listen for that little bell aringin

instead of:
It's definition for the white wings a-whistlin
Will they light on my skeets right in front of our eyes

try:
stop and listen for the whitewings a whistlin
while they lie in mesquites, right in front of our eyes

this part of the song is very debatable. that's just what it sounded like to me.

Should be:

(Em)So give 'em all (D/F#)time
They'll see the (C)sign

Great Song....always loved Sons of the desert to bad they are no more they never got the credit they deserved....Neither has Drews solo effort...

also I it's:
They'll see the signs
and stop to listen for the little bell a-ringin

In the Chorus it's:
I thought maybe we could spend the afternoon out mellowing' (taken from the liner notes)

2nd verse)
white wings a whistlin till they lite in mesquite...

song is hard to hear the lyrics to...good job

Actually the first cd I''ve bought in years...
