Cry - Faith Hill
Album: Cry
Written by: Angie Aparo

**Capo One for recorded key**

Intro: G D Em C (x2)

G D Em C
If I had just one tear running down your cheek
G D Em C G
Maybe I could cope maybe I'd get some sleep
          D Em C
If I had just one moment at your expense
 D C G/B D C G D
Maybe all my misery, would be well spe-ent ye--ah

Chorus 1:
           G D Em C
Could you cry a little, lie just a little
  G D Em C
Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain
   G D Em C
I gave now I'm wanting something in return
    G D G
So cry just a little for me

         G D Em C
If your love could be caged honey I would hold the key
G D Em C
And conceal it underneath the pile of lies you handed me
 G D Em C
And you'd hunt those lies they'd be all you'd ever find
     D C G/B D C G D
And that'd be all you'd have to know, for me to be fi-ine ye-ah

Chorus 2:
           G D Em C
And you'd cry a little, die just a little
    G D Em C
And baby I would feel just a little less pain
   G D Em C
I gave now I'm wanting something in return
    G D G
So cry just a little for me

Instrumental: G D Em C G D

 Em C D
Give it up baby I hear you're doing fine
 Em C D
Nothing's gonna save me I see it in your eyes
 G F Em Cm
Some kind of heartache come on, give it a try
G D (no chord) D C G D
I don't want pity I just want what is mi-ine ye-ah

           G D Em C
Could you cry a little, lie just a little
  G D Em C
Pretend that you're feeling a little more pain
   G D Em C
I gave now I'm wanting something in return
    G D Em C
So cry just a little for me--- yeah
 G D Em C
Cry just a little for me, woah woa
           G D G D Em C G D G
Could you cry a little for me yeah

Nice job, but you might want to consider making the following
changes to the bridge after the "instrumental"

On the first line add Em at "hear"

Change line two to: "Nothing's gonna save me till I see it in your
eyes" (ties in better to line 3) Also add G over "see"

On line 3 change Em to Am and Cm to E flat

On line 4 change G to Em and the D over "pity" to C
