yes! Garth=The best. Great song... Good tab Thanks!!!! -guitarman212 | 10/9/2005 |
Garth did a great job with this song. Chris Ledoux was an amazing person both on the stage and off. -16Whitey16 | 10/11/2005 |
Sweet...the rebirth of Garth, man i hope his new cd is as good as this song is. -MnT2005 | 10/13/2005 |
One small suggestion Larry, on the chorus add a D here: G D B7 When she starts to twist be more like Chris
And I think the Em is actually an E7 (same with F#m in key change)
Otherwise it's perfect...great job. Great to see new Garth! Hope he doesn't stop here.
Ok the thing is not lining up...D is supposed to be over "more" and B7 over "Chris" -Shantel | 10/14/2005 |
THAT'S it, Shantel - back to the D first...and I listened looking for the E7 and while I do think it fits and is interchangeable, I still hear a minor instead of the 7th. Thank you!!

song kicks ass, i knew garth would be back -KnoxGodoy3 | 10/17/2005 |
This is an awesome song and shows how chris ledoux actually was. i'm a HUGE fan of garth and chris so this song is double special! so glad to see garth back i saw him in concert a few years back and it was amazing!
r.i.p chris-you'll never be forgotten.. -pighinator | 10/18/2005 |
Chris Ledoux provided a lot of inspiration for Garth Brooks and I am happy to see a song such as this one. Chris Ledoux will probably always be my favorite. -fenderhombre | 11/2/2005 |
I could listen to this song over and over again. -WildCard76 | 11/7/2005 |
can you put the chords for the second chorus and the tag please. thanks -canehdian74 | 11/12/2005 |
They are the same as the first verse and chorus... -lmofle | 11/13/2005 |
on the second chorus and tag just step everything up 1 like G-A D-E and you can get the drift on the rest. But you can figure out the rest by looking at verse 1 to verse 2 on the diff. -BigSax | 11/13/2005 |
even though garth promised he wouldnt do new music while in retirment he broke his promise for chris. His "new" cd is actually lost sessions. He has recorded this collection of songs before he went into retirement. His new cd will be in The Wal-Mart. Im sure it'll be great. Garth said right now his priorities are trisha and his kids and keeping up on there newly built home

Larry - from one Texan to another - as many tabs as you've posted for texas music - I never pegged you for a Garth Brooks fan.... he's about as main stream as main stream can get.... love your tabs though, man -cllucas | 11/21/2005 |
I like to do something mainstream occasionally - When I see a request for chords and the lyriocs with them, I try to tab what people want. Let's put it this way - I have NOT heard this song on a radio - only at Ritchie Brown's site.

they play this song all the time on 99.5 the wolf. -airwave_assassi | 12/6/2005 |
i play texas country and im not one for nashville but when its garth brooks i've got a weak spot. Great tab larry -Jayblack | 12/12/2005 |
No intro and no key change chorus chords? You're slipping, Larry. Complete it and I'll give you a 10. -danielcraggs | 2/3/2006 |
The part were it says "Came A Navy Brat", should be to "Came an Air Force brat", because on CMT Garth had a show called "The Lost Sessions", and told how he relized that Chris wasn't in the Navy. He relized that he was in the Air Force!! So he went back to Nashville and rerecorded the song. It will be on his new album "The Lost Sessions" which will be released at Wal-Mart on Valentines Day. -bufordtsantana | 2/6/2006 |
