Gary Alan
Best I Ever Had

This is the no capo version in normal tuning

Intro - F# - F#/E - B - F# - C#

F# F#/E
So you sailed away
B F# C#
Into a grey sky morning
F# F#/E
Now i'm here to stay
B F# C#
Love can be so boring
G#m7 D#m
Nothing's quite the same now
G#m7 D#m C#
I just say your name now

F# G#m7
But it's not so bad
B F# C# D#m
You're only the best I ever had
                  G#m7
You don't want me back
B F# C# F# F#/E B
Your just the best I ever had

So you stole my world
Now I'm just a phony
Remebering the girl
Leaves me down and lonely

Send it in a letter
Make yourself feel better

F# G#m7
But it's not so bad
B F# C# D#m
You're only the best I ever had
                  G#m7
You don't want me back
B F# C# F# F#/E B
Your just the best I ever had

E F#
And it may take some time to
B B/Bf G#m7
Patch me up inside
E F#
But I can't take it so I
D#m E
Run away and hide
E F#
And I may find in time that
B B/Bf G#m7
You were always right
              E F#
You're always right

So you sailed away
Into a grey sky morning
Now i'm here to stay
Love can be so boring

What was it you wanted
Could it be I'm haunted

F# G#m7
But it's not so bad
B F# C# D#m
You're only the best I ever had
                  G#m7
You don't want me back
B F# C# F# F#/E B
Your just the best I ever had

Thats it the B/Bf i just play a regular B bar chord with a b flat bass note
