D/F# - 200232

Capo 4

Intro Chords:
D A Em E/F# G

D A Em E/F# G
Yeah she’s the one, the one I told you all about
D A Em E/F# G
Yeah it was serious, but it was long ago
A D G D
She just might walk over here and give me a kiss for old times
A D
But don’’t you worry dear
      Em E/F# G A G
Cause old times and next to you could never come close

Chorus:
           A Bm G D
I’’ll take today over yesterday any day
           A Bm G A
I’’ll take lying in your arms tonight over and above any love I’ve known
G A D D/F# G
Memories may find me, but they’’ll always be behind me
G G/F# Em A G D
I’’ll take today over yesterday any day

I’’d be lying if I tried to tell you now
That I never loved her and she doesn’’t ever cross my mind
That was yesterday baby I don’’t wanna go back
Here’’s where I’’m gonna stay with you and each tomorrow of my life

Chorus

G A D D/F# G
Memories may find me, but they’’ll always be behind me
G G/F# Em A G D
I’’ll take today over yesterday anyday

Steve Capos on the 1st fret live. It's really a matter of preference, it just kinda gives it a bit of a more high lonesome sound. I think he throws in some cadd9 chords in live, but I like it better with all Cs like above myself. This is an awesome song.
