Excellent Job!!! -joshellispickin | 10/5/2003 | Great song. MCA says that it will be the follow-up single to "Tough Little Boys". -WildCard76 | 10/7/2003 | Excellent tab! I don't think I've heard a song by Gary Allan I didn't like. Thanks! -debeck | 12/9/2003 | Great Job.........please keep 'em comin' -CabinFolk | 12/26/2003 | this is one hell of a song thanks for tabbing it out it really helps me out with my cd that im working on
-davemav | 1/9/2004 | i like gary allan more with every single, awesome tab. thanks. -manofsteele33 | 1/11/2004 | good stuff
-chasewright | 1/24/2004 | sounds great to me...... -palamin0 | 2/19/2004 | I have no opinion, it sounds great to me. Super job, Larry. -heyitskane | 2/20/2004 | boy, I wish I could tab these songs out like you - keep it up!
-country mac | 2/21/2004 | A C9 with out the 7th (i.e. the chord here) is just a Cadd9, for any one who is AR like me about chord names
-DCCabbage | 2/28/2004 | If this helps at all, I asked Gary's guitar player the chords to the song. This is what he told me:
Gary plays: intro: G,G,G,G,
verse: G,D,Em,C G,D,Em,C G,D,Em,C G,D,Em,C D,D#dim7,Em,C D,D#dim7,Em,C G,D,Am,D G,D,Em,C
REPETE.
chorus: G,G,Bm,Bm C,C,G,G G,G,Bm,Bm C,C,A7add9,A7, Am,Am,D,__
solo: G,D,Em,C A7add9,A7add9,A7,__
VERSE CHORUS REPETE CHORUS
G,D,Em,C G,D,EM,C G
I hope he doesn't mind me sharing that with y'all, but I was getting confused with all these changes and wanted to know for sure! He also said in concert he's capoed up at the fifth fret to sound a little different from Gary who's playing in the first position -shamrock2976 | 3/8/2004 | I don't doubt that he's playing that way because in a full band you have the bass guitar (or lead in some cases) to do the walk downs for you. In this case, I tabbed it like I hear it and if I were playing alone, adding in the bass notes gives you a more advance sound than the chords.
-lmofle | 3/8/2004 | I got a little more info from him, I told him I liked playing the G/F# for the first verse the way you have it, and he said the chord progression is: G,D/F#,Em,C. But thinks Gary does play a sorta G/F# kind of fingering. the notes he think he plays, from low to high are F#,A,D,G,D,G, but he mutes the G string so it doesn't sound. phew!
-shamrock2976 | 3/8/2004 | In the first verse, shouldnt it be a D chord instead of a c9? Someone let me know. Thanks. -discomatt54 | 3/24/2004 | i dont want to be a party pooper here but please tab out ALL of your chords so it doesn't leave us hangin' great song otherwise thanks
-gone country | 3/28/2004 | I don't do that on my tabs for 1 main reason. By putting the chords in 1 verse and the chorus, at least then you know what the chord progression is. Now, for new players, this will help them learn how to hear the changes in the last few verses. If the key changes or there is a bridge, I will put those chords in.
-lmofle | 3/29/2004 | Dang good tab... i love this song. -Kracker | 4/9/2004 | I read a lot of comments where people are asking for every subtle bass note and each thing tabbed out exactly. My advice to all players is try to learn the song with the CD (or from memory) before using the tab. This will help you develop your ear, one of the most important things a musician has. But then, by all means come to the site to compare yours to the submitted one or submit one yourself. this is a great site but we have to try not to use it completly as a crutch and continue to develop our talents. practice, practice, practice good luck all and happy tabbing!! -jmuelss | 4/11/2004 | Great song, great tab -brendanst | 4/12/2004 | damn good that's all i have to say -moose11 | 7/27/2004 | sweet tune, great tab. Rock On! -rexy | 12/16/2004 | Tanx. I've been looking for this for a while. -firedogq | 6/22/2005 | The chord after Am in the verse (the last chord of the verse) is D not C9 -BrianEarlHaines | 2/9/2010 |
