I had some trouble with the bridge – that’s close but am not 100% sure of it
Capo 2
A F#m
Lonely sound of distant thunder stirs my restless sleep
D E
And the dream that i was lost in slips away
A F#m
Of a young son and his mama, so innocent back then
D E
Would she even recognize her boy today
Chorus:
F#m E
Cause I have fought into the darkness
D E
And I've spilled blood, with these 2 hands
A F#m
And in my heart I wish I could believe
D E A E
Who I was, is who I am
I've crossed mountains, hills, and valleys
From sea to shining sea
Barren sands to blinding snow
I held my brother as he laid dieing
Beside me in some field
Said a prayer, and let him go
Chorus
Bridge:
A D
I'm letting go (i'm letting go)
A E
Letting go (i'm letting go)
A D
Well i'm letting go (i'm letting go)
A E
Letting go (i'm letting go)
Now with all my trials behind me
I'm so blessed to cast my eyes
On my family and my home
And with faith i faced my demons
When God was on our side
All that's left, is letting go

George rocks. This song rocks, and the chords rock as well. The whole CD is awesome I am canadian And i honestly think he is better then Brad Cotter. Cotter's I meandt to made it up to 36. George Canyon got a #1 with Never do better then you, and he has alot of other songs that are also #1's like Workin' On Ten, Who Would You Be, My Name, and this one. He sang it at Nashville Star II
