Adalida (no capo)
George Strait
Tabbed by Kane Smith (heyitskane at yahoo.com)

C G
Adalida, pretty little Cajun queen
G
Sweet dixie flower, the belle of the bayou
                           C
You’re every young man’s dream
C F
Adalida, I’d walk through a hurricane
G
To stand beside you sweet Adalida
                     C
I’d swim the Pontchartrain

Verse 1:
C G
Oh no, here you comin’ down the road
G
With your cotton dress a swishin’
G
You’re gettin’ some attention
                        C
From all the boys in Thibodaux
                                      F
Oh my, you’re really fillin’ up there eyes
G
Smilin’ and a winkin’,
G
I know what they’re thinkin’
G
But I’m the only one who loves you so

Chorus

Verse 2:
Oh no, the hottest little dish I know
I know you can tell it
You’re makin’ me so jealous
From my head down to my toes
Oh me, you could make a redneck green
The way that you’re a-lookin’
You got me a-cookin’
And I ain’t talkin’ ‘bout E toufee

Chorus

Outtro:
G
To stand beside you sweet Adalida
G
To stand beside you sweet Adalida
G
Just to stand beside a my sweet Adalida
                     C
I’d swim the Pontchartrain

great job with the tab man but I think people
should know too that in his books it tells
you to tune down a half step but is sounds
good also this way. but again great job
