Good tab! What does the star next to the D mean? Thanks. -debeck | 12/21/2003 | i just give a real noticable downstroke where the * is
-ragincajunol68 | 12/24/2003 | Where you wrote D*, try a D/F# (basically a D chord where you fret and play the F# on the 6th string). I think that's the correct chord used on that song. Here it is;
D/F#= 2xx232
This chord along with the Am7 are my two favorite chords because of their unique tone. If you've never used the D/F#, you will be amazed at how many doors it will open for you. It seems to be that "mystery transition- al chord" that artist use all the time. In fact, when you see a walk down from a G chord to a Em, insert this chord between them. You will recognize it in a lot of songs when you learn to listen for it. Also, use it when going from Em to G chord. I don't know much about reading music, but I think it can be used as the 7th when going from a D chord to a G chord, like this.
1) D=xx0232 2)D/F#=2xx232 3) G=320003
By the way, I use my thumb to fret the F# (6th string, 2nd fret), works just fine. Hope this helps. Dre. -ElGuitarrista | 3/27/2004 |
