All Jacked Up - Gretchen Wilson
This song has REALLY simplistic chords in it, it's all in the
strumming and lead to get the different sounds but trust me the
verses are all G. Not the best song to play on an acoustic guitar
but here is the chord chart.
Verse 1: (all G chord)
5:30 pm rolls around there's a little old joint outside of town
I've only got time for a couple of beers
And a jukebox song ringing in my ears
Next thing you know the bartender's pouring, shots are flowing
Got me stoned and all I really know is that I should be going
But I'm soakin' up the moment
Chorus:
G
I'm all Jacked up, all Jacked up
C G
Don't believe I've ever had this much
D
One thing I've learned when you get tore up
G
Time sure flies when you're all Jacked up
Verse 2: (all G chord)
It was gettin' mighty close to 9 o'clock
What the hell I'll have one more shot
Then a wink and a boy at the end of the bar
Guess I mighta must've gone a little too far
Cause a big ole girl walked outta the blue
10 foot 2 with a bad attitude
Stepped right up and knocked out my tooth
I guess I had it comin' I deserved it too
Chorus 2:
G
Cause I was all Jacked up, all Jacked up
C G
Don't believe I've ever had this much
D
One thing I've learned when you get tore up
G
Don't start no start no stuff when you're all Jacked up
Instrumental Break: G C G D G
Verse 3: (all G chord)
Don't have to go home but you can't stay here
That's what they said when I got my last beer
Oh my God it's 2 o'clock, can't find my keys and my truck's locked
So I grabbed a tire tool and I broke my window
Hurt my elbow, got me in though
Two foot later backed in to the light pole
All the town folk, got a good show
Chorus 3:
G
I'm all Jacked up, all Jacked up
C G
Don't believe I've ever had this much
D
One thing I've learned when you get tore up
G
Don't drive your truck when you're all Jacked up
G C G
Jacked up... woooo ooh
D
One thing I've learned when you get tore up
G
Don't start no stuff when you're all Jacked up
D
One thing I've learned when you get tore up
C
Don't drive your car, don't start no stuff in no bar,
hell I wouldn't even tell anybody where you are
G
When you're all.... Jacked up
G
All Jacked up, all Jacked up
C G
All Jacked up, all Jacked up
D C G
yeah yeah yeah yeah....

Your missin a few chord changes -telewill | 8/5/2005 | whats the stumming pattern? if you could help me out it would be much appreciated -KnoxGodoy3 | 8/12/2005 | I can never seem to write out a strum pattern the way I play a song but my best suggestion is to play it really quick with 8th notes and try muting some strings to give it that driving rock feel. -Shantel | 8/15/2005 | I have a few minor lyrical corrections: Verse two, line 3 Then I winked at a boy at the end of the bar Verse three, line 3 Oh my God it's 2 o'clock, I can't find my keys and my truck's locked
A song with a message. Take it from someone who has been there, Uncle Jack can definitely get you sideways with John Law (and just about anybody else).LOL. In this case, I guess LOL should stand for the Liquid of Lynchburg. -crcrcrcr | 8/20/2005 | telewill, Which chord changes do you think Shantel missed? How about sharing that with the rest of us? Criticism without offering any particulars diminishes your credibility and doesn't add anything of value to the discussion. Thanks. -crcrcrcr | 8/20/2005 | I think that perhaps there is an F chord at the end of each verse line. It's only a quick change but pretty noticable in the song. What do you think? -j_tlong2002 | 12/7/2005 | Yeah, quick drop to an F(power chord) at the end. Also, you need to throw in a Bb,A,Ab,G right before verse 2. Fun song. Hot babe. Looks even better in person :):):) -smh444 | 12/19/2005 |
