This works for me,thanks! -gordon williams | 6/21/2008 |
Great Song! Easy to play. but there is a verse missing. Watch the video on the above link and you can hear it. Good job on the tab! This is a great song. -rhale80 | 2/4/2009 |
I'm surprised he didn't include that extra verse on the album version. It's catchy. -petstupid | 2/4/2009 |
Yeah I like that verse, I'd never heard it before. In the video, he's playing capo 2, with G and C and D, but I can't figure out the bridge, it sounds like it goes to Am, then something and the build up is on D, but I like how you have it too. -txmusicplyr | 2/12/2009 |
glad you found it helpful...I noticed I had a few quirks in the bridge...the D should be a G, and I meant for it to say F#m instead of Fm.....if you want to play it capo II the bridge is Am Em F D. -petstupid | 2/12/2009 |
good job on the tab. only thing i see is the verse where you say hearts got a busted reed. it's actually HARPS's got a busted reed. Harp referring to his harmonica. other that that good stuff. -blueridgepckn | 12/3/2010 |
I think a lot of the confusion is that although Hayes and Ray co wrote the song they both seem to do it a little differently, also I have heard RWH do it several different ways, almost like he can't remember how, mixes the verses up and sometimes mixes verses together (i.e. sings 1 line of a verse then 2 lines of another and then back to the first one) Too much alcohol in the drunken poet's dream?? -flying2bill | 9/5/2011 |
