EM

Em
All down through the holler, something's just not right
D Em B B
A mocking bird or swaller has given thought to flight
Em
I took the last load of lightening and headed for the ridge
D
saw something mighty frightenin'
B7
From the buffalo river bridge

First it came the water, then there came the hail
Put down your sons and daughters, pray the inside walls don't fail
got back to the family, wind came whipping in
grown folks often hear me,
as I come up around the bend

G D
get the children to the cellar, grab a bible if you can
D Em
something wicked comes this way to tear apart the land
G D
get the horses from the stable, put the fire out in the still
B7 Em
An evil wind is blowin through the hills

The lumber took to flying, the glass began to break
the thought of the family dying, was more than I could take
I don't believe the words I'm saying, that witless old refrain
down where we were laying it sounded like a train

Chorus

Solo (guitar and fiddle)

He left the still and three fillies, and lord he left our souls
while we hillbillies went running for the holes

Chorus

B7 fits better to the tune and you are missing a B in the last line of the chorus

B7 Em
an evil wind is blowin...the hills

I agree. I made the changes, yet I left the B at the end of the verse lines because I think it adds a stronger emphasis than if you banged b7 b7 at that spot. Just my opinion.
Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

Any chance you could tab the lead? Would help tremendously. Thanks

D|---------9-------------9-----------9------------------------------|
