As Country As She Gets - Joe Nichols
Album: III
Writers: Jim Collins/Tony Martin/Wendell Mobley
There is a little walkdown on the D chords that goes
kinda like this:
E--2------2-----
B--3------3-----
G--2------2-----
D--0------0-----
A----2-0----2-0-
E---------------
D
She hates goin' anywhere in my old truck
D
She says it's always muddy and it rides so rough
Em G D G
And there ain't no graceful way to climb up in a dress
Em A D
Yeah I'm about as country as she gets
D
I might get her on the lake to fish with me
D
If the water's smooth and the sky is blue with a nice cool breeze
Em G D G
But anything we catch I'll have to clean myself
Em A D
Cause I'm about as country as she gets
G D
She'll slip off a pair of heels
G D
Walk barefoot across the field
G D/A A
Climb up on the fence just to be near me
Em G D G
Sometimes I think that horse still scares her half to death
Em A D
Yeah I'm about as country as she gets
D
She likes being within spending distance of a mall
D
Havin' enough bars to make a cell phone call
Em G D G
Put her in a crowd and she's right in her element
Em A D
Yeah I'm about as country as she gets
G D
She'll slip out on the porch sometimes
G D
When that sun's low in the sky
G D/A A
Pull up a rocking chair just to be with me
Em G D G
Until that first big junebug buzzes by her head
Em A D
You see I'm about as country as she gets
Em A D
Yeah I'm about as country as she gets
D
She hates goin' anywhere in my old truck

Great job as usual. One very minor thing I noticed was that the line about the cell phone starts with the word "And". -crcrcrcr | 10/30/2005 | Makes me want to go fishing but its so damn cold. Hell far that could be a hit!!! (Hunny wheres my pen and paper)
