Verse 1
                G C G
Just when every ray of hope was gone

A very nice cover for this song. Even though Steve Earl's version is great Joe does it great. The proclaimers aint got nothing on Joe Nichols.

I love the song but cant get it to sound right. Ive tried the capo and it still isnt working. Can someone explain Eb tuning?
-peewee | 1/18/2006
Well, standard tuning is E. So when you tune it to Eb you tune each string one step lower (make them looser). First step would be to loosen the low E string, so when you hold it down on 6th fret it plays like the A string. If you have a tuner, put your capo on first fret and tune it to standard tuning from there. Or just use standard tuning..you won't be able to play along with the recording..but it should sound just as good played alone. Good luck
