I thought this was written by Willie Nelson.
-pollofrito | 5/31/2005 | Johnny Bush was the one who originally wrote this song. In fact, when you see him in concert he has added another verse to it that goes something like "O Willie don't stop singing Whiskey River, You're all that's keepin me alive..." because his career has been successful solely because Willie recorded that song.
