And leavin' little girls that hate to see me go
VERSE:
They tried to hang me in Oakland
And they did in Francisco
But I won't choke I broke the rope
And they had to let me go

Cause I'm bad news
Everywhere I go
Always gettin' into trouble
And leavin' little girls that hate to see me go
VERSE:
Now from north to south
East to west the story is the same
From one state to another
I have to change me name
CHORUS:
Cause I'm bad news
Everywhere I go
Always gettin' into trouble
And leavin' little girls that hate to see me go
KEY CHANGE: C
VERSE:
Well now I picked peaches in Georgia
I lumberjacked in Maine
I've been hired fired and jailed
In any town you can name
CHORUS:
Cause I'm bad news
Everywhere I go
Always gettin' into trouble
And leavin' little girls that hate to see me go

which album is this on? I think Ive heard this one. -macg1 | 10/2/2005 | I don't think it was originally relesased on an album but rather as a single. I got it off of The Essential Johnny Cash 1955-1983 3-disc box set that I have but you could probably find it on several other "greatest hits" albums. -tyler1501 | 10/2/2005 | Bob Woottoon recorded this song.I like the song Maddog 20/20 Vision.Do you have a tab for that song? -macg1 | 12/24/2005 | Whitey Morgan & The 78's does a pretty good version on their 2nd album which is self titled...i had no idea it was done by Johnny Cash at all -pickupman_2007 | 10/28/2010 |
