hi tyler!

Is that correct? (lines 1-2 sound strange):

VERSE 1:
When you (C) wake up in the mornin', baby (Am) look inside your mirror, I won't be next to (F) you
You (C) know I won't be (G) near

I'd be (C) curious to know if your re(Am)flection is as clear
As the (F) one that I've got (G) on my (C) mind

(F) Mama you've been (G) on my (C) mind

On my "Orange Blossom Special" album, there are 2 versions of this song: track 7 (recorded 12/17/64) and track 15 (a bonus track previously unreleased in the U.S. recorded 7/27-28/64). Lyrics and rhythm are a little bit different, but I think chords are the same...
I prefer track 15 (earlier version of track 7) 'cause it is more "punchy", and 'cause lead guitar sounds better. So that's the song that I'm looking for. Thanks for helping.

Honkeytonkboy,

Since you requested this song, I have went back through and changed the chord progression & lead to match the early take (track 15) of MAMA YOU'VE BEEN ON MY MIND. The one I posted before was the master take (track 7) recorded several months later. I was not sure at first which version you wanted. I also perfer the early take. Hope this helps.

If you'd like to save time when you're
typing up your tabs, you could put "Repeat
Intro 2x, and then Mute Riff" where the
intro is repeated. Also, where you have the
muted guitar riff after some of the verses,
you could typr it out the first time it
appears, and then write "Repeat" where it's
needed.
It's just a suggestion if you'd like to
save time when typing up your tabs.
This is a good tab. I use the original chords that Bob Dylan uses,(He uses C7, C7/B, and other different types of chords, but Cash's version is awesome. I love the guitars in Cash's songs. I've seen your tab
here before, but didn't get a chance to
say that you did a great job with it, like
your other tabs. Countrytabs is very very
lucky to have you submitting songs here.
