Meet Me In Heaven
By Johnny Cash
Capo 4
D
We saw houses falling from the sky
G D
Where the mountains lean down to the sand
G D
We saw blackbirds circling 'round an old castle keep
D A
And I stood on the cliff and held your hand
D
We walked troubles brooding wind swept hills
G D
And we loved and we laughed the pain away
G D G
At the end of the journey, when our last song is sung
D A D
Will you meet me in Heaven someday
Chorus:
G C G
Can't be sure of how's it's going to be
G C G
When we walk into the light across the bar
G C G
But I'll know you and you'll know me
G C D
Out there beyond the stars
We've seen the secret things revealed by God
And we heard what the angels had to say
Should you go first, or if you follow me
Will you meet me in Heaven someday
Instrumental
Living in a mansion on the streets of gold
At the corner of Grace and Rapture Way I
n sweet ecstasy while the ages roll
Will you meet me in Heaven someday
In sweet ecstasy while the ages roll
Will you meet in Heaven someday

why is johnny cash even in this christian selection have you seen the movie -rockin4God | 12/7/2005 | Johnny cash was able to turn his life around. in fact Johnny made a full length movie about Jesus, and was a guest at many Billy Graham crusades. Billy and Johnny were very good freinds. I suggest you read " The Man in Black" , it's an autobiography by Johnny and it may give You a better insight into Johnny's devotion. -johnmicheals | 12/7/2005 | thanks very much after i wrot that i found that out sorry...the movie should show more about him than they did well GOD BLESS -rockin4God | 12/13/2005 | I knew almost nothing about Cash until I saw "Walk The Line". It made me interested in hearing his music, so I got the latest compilation album. I was hooked right away, and started getting as much of his music as I could. In a short time, the more I found out about him, I realized how deep his devotion was to the Lord. He had his flaws (no shocker; we ALL do), but he had a tremendous faith which the movie barely touched on. His spiritual songs have truly affected me, especially since he had such a distinctive voice that carried so much weight. He didn't just sing his songs, he FELT them. God bless the Man Now-In-White. Looking forward to meeting him up there. -cash55 | 6/24/2008 |
