I play this in drop D tuning and tuned down a half step to match the recording.
Also, you can slide the F chord up 2 frets for the G sometimes to change it up some.

There is a little riff between the D and F chords.
Tuned down a half-step....

   D C
My brother's got a black an' white picture
      G D F G
With numbers 'cross his chest
             D C G D F G
An' he'll do 15 more years if his behavior stays at it's best
              D
He took the blame to save his best friends name
        C G D F G
In a job that went bad down in Birmingham
          C G D C G
Yeah, but he don't mind that orange suit cause he knows that clothes don't make the man

D C G D F G
Two cells down from where my brother lays his head
               D C G D F G
The walls that go Amazing Grace an' quotes of scr i ptures that man once read
        D C G D F G
When he prayed upon the little souls of all those boys that did not understand
            F Am7
But you can wear a robe that's laced with gold
                               D F G
But The Clothes Don't Make The Man

  D
Designer names
  G
Rips and stains
           F Am7 D
Shouldn't tell you who I am
       D G
Cause sometimes angels hide their wings
         F Am7 D
An' the Devil's dressed like a lamb

They all laughed an called him names when he said that he was sent to be their king
           D
You don't even own a home
                    C G D F G
You've got simple clothes an' sandals on your feet
         D
Stripped of his pride
         D
He was crucified
      C G D F G
On a cross with nails of hatred in his hands
       F Am7
But he rose from the grave in 3 days
                                 D F G
