Written by Zach Crowell, Sam Hunt & Matt Jenkins
Recorded by Keith Urban
Album: Fuse (2013)

(Capo on 1)

Intro.: |(F)(C)|(C)(G)| x 2

(F) We drove (C)right past that no (G)trespassing sign
(F) We sat on the (C)tailgate and watched the (G)planes take off
(F) We thought we had all (C)night, there was no need to rush, that's (G)when those cops came pullin' (F)up
And (C)I thought, man, ain't this some (G)shhhh

(Bridge)
Your daddy's gonna (F)kill me, (C) but if I survive to-(G)night
I wouldn't change (F)one thing, (C) baby yeah, I know it (G)sounds crazy

(Chorus)
But there was (F)something 'bout the way (C)the blue lights were shinin'
Bringin' out the freedom (G)in your eyes
I was (F)too busy watchin' you (C)goin' wild child to be worried about goin' (G)to jail
You were thinkin' that (F)runnin' for it would (C)make a good story, I was thinkin' you were crazy (G)as hell
And you were so (F) innocent, (C)but you were stealin' my heart
I fell in love (G)in the back of a cop car |(F)(C)|(C)(G)|

(F) Man, (C)they weren't playin, they sure (G)threw those cuffs on quick
(F) You tried (C)to sweet talk 'em, they didn't (G)fall for it, but I did
(F) You were (C)on the left, I was on the right, I knew you (G)didn't smoke
When you asked him for a (F)light and (C)I laughed, he got mad and slammed (G)the door

(Bridge)
Sweet daddy's gonna (F)kill me, (C) but if I survive to-(G)night
I wouldn't change (F)one thing, (C) baby yeah, I know it (G)sounds crazy

(Chorus)
But there was (F)something 'bout the way the (C)blue lights were shinin'
Bringin' out the freedom (G)in your eyes
I was (F)too busy watchin' you (C)goin' wild child to be worried about goin' (G)to jail
You were thinkin' that (F)runnin' for it would (C)make a good story, I was thinkin' you were crazy (G)as hell
And you were so (F) innocent, (C)but you were stealin' my heart
I fell in love (G)in the back of a cop car |(F)(C)|(C)(G)|

(F) Side by side (C)and locked in tight, they were taking their time, (G)but we didn't mind
We (F)talked and we laughed, (C)we sat real close by the (Am)time they let us (G)go, I was already (F)gone

Solo / (C)|(C)(G)|(F)(C)|(C)(G)|

I think there is an Am between the C and G the entire way through the song. It sounds better that way at least if you play by yourself

I can't hear any Am chord except the part after 2nd. chorus.
But you just add it if you feel comfortable with it.
