And I'm gonna make you a promise,
If there's life after this,
I'm gonna be there to meet you with a warm wet kiss,

 I'm gonna love you,
G D (A)
 like nobody loves you,
G Bm A D
And I'll earn your trust makin memories of us,

Tracy Byrd's version is way better
-reatacowboy | 9/25/2004
Great job tabbing as always...

I do see one thing though
The end of the second verse is actually worded like this.

"In a cabin by a meadow where the wild bees swarm."

Keep up the good work Palamin0.
-griffin_hardy | 9/25/2004
thanks for the correction:)
-palamin0 | 9/26/2004
For what it's worth - Rodney Crowell inked this great song. Rodney and Master (Vince) Gill do a good version of this on their project band Notorious Cherry Bombs CD, too. Thanks for tabbin' it out.
-byrdman5 | 9/27/2004
could someone tab out the picking for this song for us novice player? Thanks
-ROCjetBlue320 | 10/10/2004
Excellent song excellent tab great job!
-bobthebuilder | 10/11/2004
Great tab. I love this song. As another novice asked, could someone tab the picking for this song? It would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
-ibanez14 | 10/17/2004
Couple of notes on this one..
The first Bm in each verse should be a D/F#
Also, in the bridge, the first D should be a
Bm7, and I'd play F#m7 instead of A/C# all
the way through the song. They're very
similar though. Otherwise, good tab! :-)
-axehappy | 10/21/2004
I came back to add the D/F# comment too. After reading axhappys comment the F#m7 tried it, sounds right on. I'd like to figure out some of the little fills he adds.
-joeld | 12/5/2004
AXe I agree with just about everything except the A/C# this is a chord structure that Keith likes to use and also the way I seen him play it live:)
-palamin0 | 12/7/2004
i agree with adding a picking tab section for novice players. i have only been playing guitar for 7 months. i am a big keith urban fan.
-fanfare96 | 1/31/2005
play the song in E without the capo. sounds much better.

-tch | 2/7/2005
I heard this song on the radio today which I would suppose it means this is his next single.
-cool_hand459 | 3/2/2005
I've seen the video. We need a picking tab. He doesnt have a capo.
-titanman2789 | 3/28/2005
for all you novices wanting a picking tab...just listen to the song..and play around with different patterns till u start getting it..that how u learn :)

-tyson79ca | 3/30/2005
is the picking pattern 5-3-4-1*2-3-4??? any help would be appreciated
-zrichard | 3/30/2005
zrichard,
I think this works as fillers but not as the pattern throughout the song.
-kenchristner | 4/14/2005
This is pretty good, it sounds quite nice!
-brandtfan | 4/14/2005
Wow,great tab. Im 12 years old, and im playing this song in a talent show.
-travis_hall | 5/7/2005
i tried using 5 3 4 1 2 3 4 as my picking pattern and this song sounds mazing!
-brandtfan | 5/17/2005
i know that thats not the used picking pattern, and it doesnt sound that much like the song, but it still sounds good
-brandtfan | 5/17/2005
ok please help?????what is an A/C#..Thank you...
-WALKER8527 | 5/29/2005
nevermind duhhhhh????i got it
-WALKER8527 | 5/29/2005
*clap clap clap*
The ladies love it ;)
-thrills123 | 5/29/2005
i have a comment on the capo in the video... keith doesn't show using a capo in his song... but it's possible that he tuned his guitar differently... i've noticed that a lot of country guitarists like to do this in their songs since it has a more mellow/pretty sound... i agree, a picking pattern would be very helpful, i've been playing for almost two years, but i still can't get this picking stuff down, my ears have been worn out from too many louds noises, i have trouble distinguishing the notes.... picking pattern would be very helpful, thanks to all the commenters and the tabber... good job palamin0
-pnkassn | 6/2/2005
I hate it when tabbers get lazy. For those of us who need complete tabs to be able to play the songs, it is disheartening. How much time would have taken Palamin0 to just finish this tab up? Probably 1/100th of what it will take me.
-scostanzo | 6/7/2005
it really doesnt matter if u get "lazy" on this tab or any other tab if ur good enough to play the first verse and know it y does it matter if it is all there as long as u got the words. i meanm damn i can play this song blind folded and backwards and i have only been playin for like 8 months quit giving them a hard time they do a really good job tabing these songs.... keep up the good work
-leviellis1504 | 6/9/2005
scostanzo:

I look at your nick to see the work
you have submitted and I must say
it is a bit unfair for you to say I'm LAzy???

That really ticks me off considering the
work I do put into my tabs......

I don't half/a$$ my tabs at all I make sure
they are as accurate as I can possibly make them.

-palamin0 | 6/9/2005
i agree thanks for the tab. only doosh bags would think that ur lazy.

-cpl03 | 6/13/2005
im with palamin...

ive used so many of ur tabs and everyone of em is fantastic. for that matter, when i look for a new song, i look to see if u did any of them cuz i know theyll be right. that schonzo dude or whatever needs to just shut his mouth and let u do ur thing...
keep it up man
-goeglein123 | 6/21/2005

-rynosthe1 | 7/10/2005
will someone please e-mail me the A/C# CORD. I must be doing something wrong.

wallerdavid@bellsouh.net
-david waller | 7/11/2005
Can Someone chord the whole thing cuz I am trying to get the chords for the lyrics that have no chords over it and I am having not luck! SO if someone could post it that would be great!
-punkydo9 | 8/7/2005
pretty good tab, u should tab the other guitar when it plays in the beggining.
-free2rapp15 | 8/21/2005
hey there palamin0! thank you so much for posting yet another amazing tab (chord)!!

2 things:

1)I am not taking sides in any argument, but i think there is a mis-communication with Comment by - scostanzo: I think he was just saying that there are verses that you didn't put the chords in, but didn't realize/know that they are just repeated from the previous verses.

2)I have tried several ways to play A/C#. Since you have seen keith play it live, I was wondering if you could tell me how he/you play it. The only way I can get it to work is by using my pinky or ring finger to hold the C# down while barring the 2nd fret with my index finger while bending it up just enough to leave the E open.

Anyway, Thanks again for your time and effort! This site wouldn't be half the site it is without you and your great taste in music!
-Demon646 | 8/31/2005
hi can anyone please let me know how to play the song i mean i know the chords i just dont knwo the pattern like up and down twice or how please help me out its obviously a novice it would b greatly appreciated
-rimul2 | 9/2/2005
yeah, im kinda new to this, and i cant figure out the pattern for finger picking... can someone help?
-supercow101 | 9/4/2005
My advice would be to try not to get stuck in specific patterns. Try listening to the song and really feeling the rhythm. Listen to the drums, bass, guitar, vocals, everything. Then just get your right hand moving. You might even want to try just strumming once on each beat, then gradually add a few more stums until you find something that works.
-leadam | 12/13/2005
thanks alot for this great tab!
by the way you and axehappy are the only ones that are worth looking for for a good song.
Keep up the great work both of you!
have fun
