Intro: E (strum)

E
There's a new wind blowin' like I've never known

I'm breathin' deeper than I've ever done
       A E
And it sure feels good to finally feel the way I do
            B A E
And I wanna love somebody, love somebody like you

And I'm lettin' go of all my lonely yesterdays
I've forgiven myself for the mistakes I've made
Now there's just one thing, the only thing I wanna do
I wanna love somebody, love somebody like you

(Chorus)
                      A
Yeah I wanna feel the sunshine,
                       E G#maj7 F#maj7 E7
shinin' down on me and you
                        A
When you put your arms around me,

ya let me know there's
               C# F#
nothin' in the world I can't do

I used to run in circles, goin' nowhere fast
I'd take one step forward, end up two steps back
I couldn't walk a straight line, even if I wanted to
I wanna love somebody, love somebody like you
Oh, here we go now...

Solo: E A E B A E

(Chorus)

Sometimes its hard for me to understand
But you're teachin' me to be a better man
I don't want to take this life for granted like I used to do
No, I wanna love somebody, love somebody like you
I'm ready to love somebody, love somebody like you
        B A A
I wanna love some body, love somebody like you

End Solo: E (strum)

I think the C# and F# are minor chords. Good job on that progression in the chorus.

Try Alternating on the E and A chords for example

E A
-0---- -0----
-0---- -5----
-9p8h9 -6----
-9---- -7----
-0---- -7----
-0---- -X----

-touc17 | 12/7/2003
If you want the tab format for chords, try http://home.tampabay.rr.com/guitar
Click Techniques, then Chord Chart.
We have a pretty good chord chart.

Shantel is correct, it should be C#m & F#m

C#m = 446654 or x46654

F#m = 244222 or x44222

good job on the tab thoug! :)

Hey Guys,

I was lookin over this and everything is in the right notes, but the way everybody seemed to be playing the chords,
it looks like you're putting a lot more effort into it than you have to. (like for instance instead of playing the
bar chord for c#m, (446654) just play like a power chord but leave the 1st, 5th and 6th strings open (046600) it's
a LOT easier. here's a list of the basic chords and the way I'm pretty sure he plays them in the song, I hope it
helps.

E - 079900
A - 002200
B - 024400
C#m-046600
F#m-x44200 (or 244x00, both are much easier than the bar chord)

another helpful tip, what ms|171 said about the pulloff/hammering back on quickly in the main riff on the E chord,
he's right, it's like that in the song. Once you make the "bar chord", put your middle finger on the 8th fret
of the 4th string down and pull off and hammer on during the verse (listen for the timing) and you can also do it
with the A chord, basically the same way (same string, etc) and it sounds really good... hope this helped!!

Something I thought sounded better on the progression in the chorus was G#sus4 and F#sus4 rather than maj7 ????

This is a great song. I am just a strummer and fairly new to playing guitar. I love my country music but am struggling to find out how to play G#maj7 and F#maj7. Any assistance would be appreciated. Cheers.
-charlie05 | 6/30/2005
G#maj7= 465544
F#maj7= 243322

If you play
E= 079900
you can also play these:
B= 799800
A= 577600
