(The 'x' is a palm mute, sort of a slap)

The Chords for the song are:

     G Dsus2 Asus4 A Bm

e|---3-----x-----x-----x-----2-|
B|---3-----3-----3-----2-----3-|
G|---0-----2-----2-----2-----4-|
D|---0-----0-----2-----2-----4-|
A|---x-----0-----0-----0-----2-|
E|---5-----x-----x-----x-----x-|

Verse:

G Dsus2 Asus4 A
Well, she was precious like a flower
G Dsus2 Asus4 A
She grew wild, wild but innocent
(Here strum the A a couple times then hammer on the 4th fret of the D string and
pull off to the 2nd, then open D|--2h4p2p0--| )

G Dsus2 Asus4 A
A perfect prayer in a desperate hour
G Dsus2 Asus4 A (just one down strum on A)
She was everything beautiful and different

Chorus:

G Dsus2
Stupid boy,
Asus4 A
you can't fence that in
G Dsus2
Stupid boy,
Asus4 A
it's like holding back the wind
G Dsus2 Asus4 A
she laid her heart and soul right in your hands
G Dsus2 Asus4 A
And you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans
G Dsus2 Bm
She never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens
A G Dsus2 Asus4 A
When the only voice she hears is telling her she can't
(Play the intro here, replace the slide 2/4 with the G chord at the start of
"Stupid", same thing for the second part of the intro)
   G
Stupid boy

Verse: same chord pattern

So what made you think you could take a life
And just push it push it around
I guess you build yourself up so high
You had to take her and break her down

Chorus: Same pattern

she laid her heart and soul right in your hands
And you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans
She never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens
When the only voice she hears is telling her she can't

Bridge:
 	  	 G Bm
You stupid boy

A G
Oh, you always had to be right but now you've lost
 	 Bm A G Bm
The only thing that ever made you feel alive
Yeah, yeah

G Bm A x2

Chorus:

Well, she laid her heart and soul right in your hands
And you stole her every dream and you crushed her plans
Yes, ya did
She never even knew she had a choice and that's what happens
When the only voice she hears is telling her she can't

You stupid boy, oh, I'm the same old (Intro again)
Same old stupid boy

Verse:
G Dsus2 Asus4 A
It took awhile for her to figure out she could run
 	  	 G Dsus2
But when she did, she was
Asus4 A (One down strum on the last A, slow and quiet)
long, long gone

Hopefully that helps, its how i play it and i think it sounds pretty good. Any
questions email me jeff_hurdis18 at hotmail.com.

the tab is good, but your tuning is off.... keep it standard tuning it sounds 300% better....
