Like always, put the Capo on the 2nd fret, and then proceed with the regular intro that has already been posted. I'm always open for suggestions/corrections. Enjoy.

(Skip, call me when you see this)

Is the the intro from the version played with John Fogarty on CMT CrossRoads
-dhs64 | 2/24/2005
I'm pretty sure it is. I got this off of the AOL Sessions featuring the song. I believe it's very similar to what he played on Crossroads, as well as anywhere live. I'm sure Urban throws in some abberations here and there, but then again, he's a lot better guitarist than I am. I do think this gets the gist of it, though.

I am so glad you got this tab this is such and amazing intro to one of his best songs ever !!!
-bowing4atticus | 2/24/2005
appreciate it.

awsome, song, by the way to all you chicks, KEITH is MINE! lol, good tab
-SweetThing11028 | 2/24/2005
HOLY CRAP ....this is perfect...awesome job dude. The Foggerty concert and the daytona concert are the same intro...different live endings ...only slightly though...just different words. Keep up the good work man. you did a great job on this. thanks

I think your tab is right. The thing i cant
seem to figure out it how the D hammer on could
sound better. All the rest of the stuff sounds
great, but the D hammer-on does sound quite
right to me. If there are any other suggestions
I would love to hear some. I cant find something
better, but it just doesnt seem right. Maybe
its my guitar.
-srogers312 | 2/24/2005
I'll be honest with you; that was the only part of the tab I wasn't totally comfortable with. I've messed around with it but haven't been able to make it sound completely correct.

On another note, does anyone know where I could find the video of this song from that Daytona Spring Break concert? Ares doesn't have it. I found the AOL Sessions where he plays it(which helped figure out this tab), but I'd really like to see the Daytona video again. His performance was as charged as any I've ever seen, live or on TV,(with a very close second going to a lone Pat Green playing "Nightmare" at a concert at Ole Miss). If anyone has it, please let me know.
-twest1219 | 2/24/2005
wow...you did a really good job...this is one of my favorite songs to play...could someone tab out the rest of the live version of the song...
-keithurb15 | 2/25/2005
I dont know if it is right, but if you play the
Low D on the A string with the hammer-on it sounds better i think. It makes sense too cause its like the ending part of the "Days Go By" intro riff. Anyway, try it out and lemme know what you think.
-srogers312 | 2/25/2005
Ok I got it to sound MUCH better !.. its still
not perfect but try this.

e-------------------------
B-------------------------
G-----4-2-0-----0-----0---
D-----------2h4---2h4-----
A---3---------------------
E-------------------------

I will work on it more to get it exact,
but this sounds a TON like the sessions recording.
-srogers312 | 2/25/2005
I like it. It sounds much closer. Good work.

B-----0--------------------
G-------2-0-----0-----0---
D-----------2h4---2h4-----
A---3---------------------
E-------------------------

This is how he does it.
-KU_isbestever | 2/25/2005

Thats the same note that I had (just open an open string)
How are you
sure that your way is right? Cause if you have
a video of him playing it (besides session) thats detailed I would
love to see it. It would help me a lot.

-srogers312 | 2/25/2005
(just using an open string)*

Darn typos.

Great job.
How about working on Making Memories of Us from Sessions@aol and Your Everything from Daytona?

One more comment. He uses this chord but I cannot figure how he picks it.

E------
B---3----
G--------
D---2----
A---3----
E-------
It is his second chord change in the intro.
Any suggestions?
-kenchristner | 2/25/2005
any chance someone could add a sound file for this
-dhs64 | 2/26/2005
great job!
-realcheese | 2/26/2005
What is AOL sessions? And, if it is a video, is there anyway that someone could tell me where to find it or send it to me over the Instant Messenger or get it to me in some way shape form or fashion?
