Be As You Are
By Kenny Chesney (acoustic version)
Capo 1
This could also be played with a capo on 4 and play
D for F, G for Bb, and A(7) for C7 and Bm for Dm...
F
Man I could use a Pina Colada
F
A little bit-a sun on my skin
Bb
I had this belief, never gonna look back
F
Once my feet hit the sand
C7 F
I’ve had it up to here with this rat race
C7
Need a smile on my face
Chorus:
F
I wanna go where I can lighten up the load
Dm
Drive a little while on the wrong side of the road
Bb F
Get this layin low off to a flyin start
F
Play my guitar in the Caribbean sun
Dm
Hang with the locals at The Quiet Mon
Bb C7
Where you be a tourist, a beach bum or a star,
Bb
Be as you are
Gettin' stuck sure would be easy
In this palm tree paradise
Ambition fades with every wave
For the finer things in life
Maybe I'll just hang around here
Go home later next year
F
Maybe I’ll just hang around here
C7
Go home later next year
Chorus

where do i find this song to hear it??? -Laurence | 7/7/2004 | Its the title track to the new album by Kenny to be released in late January 2005 -nickelcreed | 9/23/2004 | The mp3 I used was a bootleg recording from CMT. -lmofle | 1/28/2005 | "a hammock, a book, never gonna look back" -40ozTherapy | 2/4/2005 | Look at the note above - this is the bootleg version off CMT, not the recorded version that was released on an album. I will go re-listen but I think he changed the words...
-lmofle | 2/4/2005 | I haven't tried it yet, but does it sound better with the capo on the 4th fret? Which is more correct? -hmchicken | 2/4/2005 | They are both correct because it is technically the same key but if you listen close to the bottom strings (E & B), and they sound high, I would go with Capo 4 (the key is technically Eb)
-lmofle | 2/4/2005 | -lmofle | 2/8/2005 | This is the 2nd verse:
Gettin' stuck sure would be easy In this palm tree paradise Ambition fades with every wave For the finer things in life Maybe I'll just hang around here Go home later next year -WildCard76 | 2/28/2005 | Please check my submission, I Can't make your changes match the Album Dm =Am??
