"The Tin Man"   Kenny Chesney

Key of E
Intro; E Bm Am E

Verse 1;
E                              C#m
I saw a man in the movies that didn't have a heart
       A            B           E   B
How I wish I could give him mine
    E                            C#m
Then I wouldn't have to feel it breaking all apart
           A                             B
And this emptiness inside would suit me fine

Chorus;
     A          E B E7                  A
It's time like these, I wish I were the tin man
                          E                          B
You could hurt me all you wanted and I'd never even know
A        B        E B E7              C#m  B  A
Well I'd give anything, just to be the tin man
                        E       B                    E     Bm Am E
Then I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul

Verse 2;
E                                C#m
I couldn't see your leaving coming, it took me by surprise
      A            B            E     B
Even now it still seems like a dream
       E                                C#m
But I know I cant be dreaming cause as I lay down each night
     A                                     B    to A
The pain's so great that it won't let me sleep

I saw Kenny play this live twice. The first time was in 1993 when no one knew who he was. This was his "big hit" at the time. I didn't play then so I didn't pay attention to how he played it. The second time was in 1999 and I didn't play then either. I can't wait to try this song out and give you my critique. I have always loved this song. Thanks for the chords.
